1. Legal Compliance

The Daily Co complies with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) and all applicable South African consumer protection legislation.

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any rights you are entitled to under South African law.


2. Change of Mind Returns (Non-Defective Items)

We are not legally required to accept returns for “change of mind” purchases. However, as a goodwill policy, we may accept returns under the following strict conditions:

  • Item must be returned within 7 days of delivery
  • Item must be unused, unworn, and in original condition
  • All original packaging, accessories, and included components must be returned (e.g. straps, chargers, bands, or any items included in a bundle)

If approved:

  • A refund or store credit may be issued at our discretion
  • A handling/restocking fee may apply
  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable
  • Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility

We reserve the right to refuse any return that does not meet these conditions.


3. Defective, Damaged or Incorrect Goods (CPA Rights)

In terms of the Consumer Protection Act, you are entitled to return goods if they are:

  • Defective or faulty
  • Damaged upon delivery
  • Not what you ordered

You may return such goods within 6 months of delivery and choose one of the following remedies:

  • Repair (if applicable)
  • Replacement
  • Full refund

Important:

  • The defect must not be caused by misuse, neglect, or normal wear and tear
  • We may inspect the item before approving a return
  • If the item is found not to be defective, it may be returned to you at your cost

4. Wear & Tear / Misuse Exclusion

We are not responsible for:

  • Damage caused by dropping, crushing, or improper handling
  • General wear and tear from regular use
  • Damage to fabric components (such as resistance bands or compression bandages) caused by overstretching beyond the intended use
  • Damage caused by exposing electronic components (such as the Joint Relief Massager) to water, excessive heat, or improper cleaning
  • Battery degradation over time from normal use

Recovery and wellness equipment must be used and handled according to the included instructions, and items must be cared for appropriately to remain eligible for any return.


5. Fit, Style & Comfort

We do not offer refunds for:

  • Compression bandage size selection (wrist, ankle, elbow, knee, or leg) chosen incorrectly by the customer
  • Personal comfort or suitability preferences after use
  • Colour variations due to screen display differences (minor variations may occur)

Customers are responsible for reviewing product descriptions, size guides, and intended use before purchase.


6. Exchanges

Exchanges are only permitted if:

  • The item is defective
  • The incorrect item was delivered
  • The exchange request is made within 7 days of delivery

Exchanges are subject to stock availability.


7. Bundle Purchases

Where products are purchased as part of a bundle (such as our Active Relief Kit, Strengthen & Support Kit, or Complete Recovery System):

  • All items included in the bundle must be returned together for a bundle return to be processed
  • If only one item from a bundle is defective, we may at our discretion replace that item alone rather than process a full bundle return
  • Returning only part of a bundle will not be accepted as a full return, and may affect the refund amount calculated, as bundle pricing reflects a discount only valid when all items are purchased together

8. Refund Processing Time

If a refund is approved:

  • Processing time: 7–14 business days
  • Refunds are made via the original payment method
  • Shipping fees are non-refundable unless required by law

9. Return Process

To initiate a return:

  1. Contact us at: thedailycostore@gmail.com
  2. Provide order number and reason for return
  3. Await return authorization before sending goods
  4. Package item securely to prevent damage in transit

Unapproved returns will not be accepted.


10. Risk & Ownership

Once goods are delivered, responsibility for care and risk transfers to the customer.

The Daily Co is not liable for:

  • Damage occurring after delivery
  • Lost or stolen items after confirmed delivery

11. Consumer Rights

This policy does not override your rights under South African law, including:

  • Right to safe, good-quality goods
  • Right to return defective goods within 6 months
  • Right to fair and reasonable treatment

12. Policy Updates

The Daily Co reserves the right to update this policy at any time, provided that it remains compliant with South African law.
