1. Shipping Overview

Stay Shady delivers nationwide within South Africa using Aramex Store-to-Door courier services.

All orders are processed and shipped in accordance with the timeframes outlined below.


2. Processing & Delivery Time

  • Processing time: 1–3 business days (order preparation and dispatch)
  • Delivery time: 8–11 business days total (including processing)

Delivery times are estimates only and may vary depending on:

  • Courier workload and capacity
  • Public holidays
  • Weather conditions
  • Remote or rural delivery areas
  • Peak seasonal demand

3. Courier Service

We use Aramex Store-to-Door for all deliveries.

Once your order has been handed over to Aramex:

  • The package is under the control of the courier
  • Tracking information will be provided to the customer
  • Delivery updates are managed directly by Aramex

4. Shipping Delays

While we aim to meet all delivery timeframes, delays may occur that are outside of our control.

Stay Shady is not liable for delays caused by courier services, customs (if applicable), or external disruptions, including but not limited to:

  • Courier delays or backlog
  • Strikes or industrial action
  • Weather events or natural disruptions
  • Incorrect or incomplete delivery information provided by the customer
  • High seasonal demand periods (e.g. Black Friday, holidays)

However, we will:

  • Assist in tracking your parcel
  • Communicate with the courier where necessary
  • Provide support to help resolve delivery issues

5. Incorrect Address Liability

Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information.

We are not responsible for:

  • Orders delivered to incorrect addresses due to customer error
  • Delays caused by incomplete or incorrect contact details
  • Failed delivery attempts due to customer unavailability

If a parcel is returned due to incorrect address information:

  • The customer may be responsible for additional re-shipping fees

6. Lost or Missing Parcels

If a parcel is lost in transit:

  • We will initiate a trace with Aramex
  • Investigation timelines are determined by the courier

If the courier confirms loss:

  • A replacement or refund will be processed at our discretion, in line with CPA obligations where applicable

7. Risk Transfer

Once an order has been dispatched and handed over to Aramex:

  • Risk transfers to the courier service
  • Ownership of goods remains with Stay Shady until delivery is confirmed, but transit responsibility is handled by the courier

8. Delivery Confirmation

Delivery is considered complete when:

  • The courier marks the parcel as delivered, OR
  • Proof of delivery is provided by Aramex

9. Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing correct delivery details
  • Ensuring someone is available to receive the parcel
  • Tracking their order using the provided tracking number

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by South African law:

Stay Shady shall not be held liable for:

  • Delivery delays caused by third-party couriers
  • Indirect or consequential losses resulting from delayed delivery
  • Events outside of our reasonable control

This does not affect your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, particularly in cases of non-delivery or loss confirmed by the courier.
